the other possibility is that after you logged out someone agro'd you before you left the world.

I always log out away from my walls, or in the house, so that this doesn't happen.

Agro only leaves Assault, which is a non-summonable scent. You have to KO someone to leave battery.

agro in melee is assault and unsummonable...I don't know why, but shooting with sling or bow is battery. if you ever summon some idiot that leaves scents and has his hf outside you can see the scents you leave are battery not assault.

@OP you said you were summoned I only explained the method of summoning. if you were killed while logging off, or logged off during combat thinking it would save you thats a different matter. as I said: unless you leave scents you can't be summoned!
