Aika was good, so was Mabinogi. Dragon Nest is a newer one, it's sort of a Devil May Cry instanced dungeon thing but it's not too bad. The community is shit for grouping up though, they're all too busy larping like faggots to actually level with you.

What do you mean exactly? IRL? or in the game :?:

A friend of mine asked me to go with her to some LARP thing, I didn't go. I think it's kinda silly, and I'd have a hard time being serious.

Well, here's my game experience there:
Get to level 7ish, played through the same instances on normal to intermediate difficulty and see that you can group up to do expert and whatnot for more exp. Fuckyeah! So I proceed to use the find a group feature and this is what follows.
Join group around your level*
"Hi guys, wanna run some instances?"
No response* (If there is one it's the equivalent of DESUDESUDESUDESUDESU)
Shortly after nothing happening and your party mates standing/jumping around you calling you a fag they kick you from party so they can continue to sit around one another and jerk off to eachother's false ideals of what Japanese culture should be like.
