The Federal government was never originally intended to be the be-all-say-all of the states' affairs; if you were familiar with the tenth amendment of the Constitution of the United States (or familiar with the US Constitution, period.) or noticed a lot of the states are telling the Federal government to go fuck itself, you'd realize this.

I'm talking about what's it supposed to be like, but what it's gonna be like. As for states telling the fed to go fuck itself, they tried that before and it didn't work out for them.

Fixed. Of course its gonna be like that as far as the Federal government is concerned, and its going to be the way I said it as far as the states are concerned. Because dictators can bully only so far.

Yes, I see you are referring to the "Civil War" (The War to End Southern Independence). However you fail to notice the widespread states' rights movement that has been happening across the United States for the past decade or so. A lot of promise indeed.

As Thomas Jefferson wrote in a letter to William Stephens Smith: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure."

Yeah, not having a not there was just a brainfart.

And actually I was referring to the nullification crisis, which wasn't exactly a success for the states, and that was back when the federal government was a lot weaker than today. In this day and age the states can't do shit about federal involvement in their affairs, as evidenced by DEA raids on medical marijuana dispensaries.

DEA only goes after large grow ops/dispensaries though, they aren't going to raid a smoker's house for his stash and local cops aren't going to arrest or even ticket people for it.
