Thanks :)

I'm working on a video right now. I'm packing for a week-long vacation atm, but I'll have it edited and published to Youtube tomorrow.

 at dra6o0n thinking he is an expert game dev

Ok, so, questions:
  • What kind of restrictions will there be on PvP? Any "non-consensual PvP"?
  • Will there be non-player-created villages/shops/all that junk?
  • ETA on me being able to play it, even if in alpha or beta stage? Will there be a place where I can sign up?

  • No PvP restrictions in the main server, but the newbie server would have PvP turned off. I want some place for new players to learn the game while also providing a rough world for the real players ;)
  • Of course! Villages are already implemented in the same way villages work in HnH. On top of that, I will also have "Village Levels" based upon the statues, flags, and decore that are in your village. Levels will allow you to expand your borders, invite children NPCs (I'm not 100% sure about this part-- I'm still developing this idea), and increase the notoriety and stats of the people.
  • Add me on Steam (xbradywx) or Skype (brady.welch). I don't have any formal testing times or servers, but I will run frequent sessions when I want to test out new features and such. Once I get the website up and running, I'll get a formal database with testers set up.

And please ask more questions if you have any. I love answering these game design questions :)

Again people always misread what I post on the earlier parts.
I made a quick analysis based on the initial post, and that was a blind analysis as I didn't really cared about the detail.
Pretty much a remark on what I've seen thus far.

Then I simply commented on libraries I've heard about from Genusis. Plus your remarks on autism is pretty stereotypical because I've worked with one in college who was surprising efficient... But didn't communicate much

Because people always assume the worst when people start asking questions.

I've never really said anything about myself being professional at development.

If I had any hostile intent, you would have really noticed by now. Keeping an wide open perspective can be hard to maintain since readers can read it in a hundred different way.

To be honest, I've barely begun on that aspect. I already have a justice system for murder, but vandalism will be a lot harder since it's harder to detect what true vandalism is versus building/creating. I liked how HnH prevented mass-destruction with battering rams, but I'm not sure if that would work.

How do you think I should handle it? I'll have a meeting next week with my team to discuss it in detail, but I'd like to get a few ideas from the people around here before I start.
Thanks,

How about videos of the game being played? I'd like to see that.

I'll upload one tomorrow. I already have all of the footage but I want to do a vocal commentary.

Hmm not once do I join any hate train on games. All my post are my opinions of my own. If you want to see an annoyed post you can view one on the controversial warz.

I don't see the same thing as other people, since I don't mind hearing out other people's opinions.

I get your feelings on naysayers though. Because those same people believed a 24hr lockout on death was a good idea in warz. >_>

Just don't take my posts the wrong way. I just like hastily throwing out quick comments on what I see at the time.

Dragoon, everything you post is a hate train. You take extremely aggressive stances on every little detail and jump to conclusions while acting like a know it all. This isn't new behavior. =)

That'd be really cool.
