why is it so hard to get friends to play this game?

I only ever got 2 of my real life friends to play this with me, but that was during the time in 2012 where I basically quit after realizing I had a life.

I got 3 friends to play this game, two quit because of lag back in the days and one accually liked it for a long time and returns every now and then. Other than them my brother also plays this game sometimes, but far from as much as I do.
I guess you can say Haven and Hearthers is a special kind of race

I have my best friend IRL playing, and I had a bunch of them playing. They really enjoy the beginning of the world like I do. However they claim it becomes a chore after awhile. Which I am kind of inclined to agree. It's fun, but a small group of 4 never seems to last.

You're asking the wrong question. Obviously there are people that exist who enjoy this game and others like it, as evidenced by this forum. It's just a matter of finding those people and becoming their friend, not forcing the friends you already have to do something they don't enjoy.

true there are alot of great ppl alrdy in game but still would be nice to have atleast one real life that one could trust 100%

Fair enough but when it comes to this game sometimes even knowing the person in real life doesn't always prevent them from fucking with you in-game. Also, I meant that one may actually be required to seek out someone in real life that enjoy this sort game (aka making new friends/networking/whatever). Obviously that is easier said than done for some people.

There is a very famous instance of this where events got so embroiled that it crippled two major factions, involved the devs, and pissed everyone in the game off. Just because you know them in real life and live with them doesn't mean you can absolutely trust them.

lol its stuff like that which make this game so interesting to me. it can mimics real life drama and conflict. its like one big sociological experiment!
