So, basically... You followed the Underpants Gnomes idea model.

Half baked is the way they'll stay if you don't ask for input (even if it isn't from us) on the way to get it to where you want it to end up! :D
The Dwarf is making a plaintive gesture. He doesn't really care about anything any more.

What's wrong with that gnome's plan?

Seems pretty solid to me.

It's pretty obvious that Machenoid doesn't put a lot of thought into his posts.
He's cranky because J&L aren't doing exactly what he wants.

He assumes they want to make a profit
He assumes they want to capture a significant market share.
He assumes they are a game dev company as opposed to two uni students just having a bit of fun.

Mostly he just assumes that people who don't agree with him are wrong and that his way is the only right way possible

I think some longer times between announcements is only a good sign, shows that things more major than simple updates are on the way. I think that you guys (the devs) should really try to switch to putting out fewer updates, at least until the quest system is in. I think it would be best if you put out simple updates every third or fourth dev session, and spent the rest of the time working on more major updates that the game needs. (it also stops the work through the night to release boats situation from happening much.)

You have the players and they have lead you to ironing out most of the problems with having a playerbase, now get working on the core of the game again.
