Except no real major updates have been made. People will flood for the first few weeks but once the nostalgia of the early game goes away people will begin to realize that it's the same old grind and give up again.

W7 was originally going to be the "major" overhaul once Salem was done. Loftar wanted to do a whole new mapgen, as well as implement some pretty major overhauls to the current mechanics. That (apparently) hasn't happened.

my bet is somewhere around... a whole shitton.

srsly though, im guessing in the 700-800 range, then after a few days (maybe a week) the ones who aren't too into it and the whiners will just drop out leaving us at around 300-500 range. after a couple weeks we should even out at a steady 200-300. of course, if their is more to this update than first meets the eye, we might see even higher numbers. those numbers would probably stay high for quiet awhile.
