Also, isn't the idea of a pali basher for it to be 0 skills, no atributes other than high str and also full trad?
If I had one, he would jump in a boat, go to the wall, bash it and then log out.

Yes, which makes them even more painfully fragile. This is why you want a well developed defense and a few solid combat characters to back them up. Getting to the nearly 500 strength that it takes to palibash is a labor intense process, especially this early on. Getting an alt to this so that it can bash one newbie settlement in and then die isn't exactly a smart move.

To bash a palisade in 1 stamina bar, assuming you're at 100 stamina and have a sledge hammer, would require 5041 Strength. The initial 25 damage would go towards overcoming soak and the subsequent 46+4 damage would be necessary to break the palisade in 50 strikes. Palisades have a total of 2,500 health to break through.

techXknight I think you highly underestimate the ability of bots, and top tier factions will more then likely be willing to sacrifice 1-2 combat characters from a group of 20-30 to rush a palibasher.

You can use a palibasher with out cons as well though I doubt anyone but Painhertz would make one. You could place a claim over a palisade you made yourself to protect a ram, and not have to fear it being broken giving them a huge advantage.

I think you're right, I do underestimate bots. Realistically what's the timeframe that bots can pump out a palibasher? I honestly don't know.

People have already 100..so teorically, really few time. A couple of days more.

A little fix : it's 484 STR + sledgehammer.

300 str with thanes, bear cape + tali and you can palibash and if you have that str to begin with it's very possible to find gold/silver already

Just erected my Palisade but a minute ago. Now gonna begin working getting bricks for Bwall.

no real resources to protect per say, just the fact it seems like all the "Bill Badasses" made a mad dash for criminal skills, so i'm guessin the next big race will be for palibashers

Big factions will have BW's quiet soon, so you can only use it on noobs.

Having had bashers in 3 of the 4 worlds I've played, I know what an IMMENSE project it is even WITH someone feeding you LS's worth of high quality MBC so I wouldn't expect them anytime soon. That being said, get your brick wall up and/or a brick vault inside your pally and it doesn't really matter does it?
