It has become a circlejerk in its own respect where every shitposter just amplifies the other shitposters. All attempts at sparking discussion via interesting idea or thrown up suggestions are met by ridicule and insults (because you're not a 1337 420 #yolo-raider like them). It's funny how close it is in resemblance to real life.

Can you do something about it? Probably not, there are some fundamental flaws in the forums in its current state. I stopped caring about a week ago.

Yea you're not trying to circle jerk with Danno right now or anything.

@OP: There is no way you can convince this game to evolve, just move on and hope you'll find another one.
In any case, before all these possible changes can occur, the game needs to be remade. Several times.
Changing one or a few things will be like playing the rubix cube by mindlessly turning knobs without matching the color up properly.

Just agreeing is trying to circlejerk?

I must be trying real hard then.

Shitposting in every thread with your fellow friends for shits and giggles. Calling everything stupid without any arguments or reasons why. Insulting the user and telling him/her to off themselves or leave the forums while never any action is taken against it screams circlejerk for me.

But then again it's just a crutch for a scrub like me, right?

For me personally what makes Haven and Hearth a good game is the social aspect. Seeing how people react in a hostile environment. Working together wiping out a group of people who did wrong to your friends. There are many reasons why this game is amazing. I don't like the grind either, especially the farming grind. But that's why I don't do it and go out in the world and have fun. I have died so many times to stronger players or animals than me but that never made me rage quit. I play for the interaction between fellow hearthlings. It's not as bad as you make it out to be.

The reason for me to quit HnH is because you can't stand up the grind against crazy russians or botting russians. Whatever is true, i don't care about it. The curious-system is in favour for #no-lifers imo, and i myself won't give up my life for something which is not worth imo = (combat-system ; getting outnumbered ; chase/escape thats mostly all about it = no skill involved). Some guys may like enjoy this game to kill people who can't defend themself, but you barely see a good fight in this game. In the end it comes all about bugusing/outnumber your enemy/outfarm(outbot) your enemy. No skill required. gg

Not at all. The game will always favor no-lifers, and there's nothing that can be done about that. As far as no-lifers go, the only difference between the curiosity system and the previous system is that the curiosity system lets them grind multiple characters at the same time easier.

The old system still favored whoever grinded more buckets from clearcut forests.

The grind has always been here since H&H was conceived. Things have gotten better, but it's relatively been the same, so if you're going to blame your woes on something blame it on your inability to change. You either play the game or you get killed. The curio system is actually a step away from no-lifing. Originally you gained lp from doing tasks like chopping trees, etc. Botters would destroy entire forests and the people who knew how to script were basically the powerhouses of the world. Now you can forage for a few hours, load up on curios, and log out. You prevent yourself from being killed AND you're still gaining lp.

You complain about being outnumbered and raped to death, but that's H&H. It's always been that way. If you were gonna quit you should have done it a long time ago. GG

The things the OP is saying might be very true. But such actions as dramatical quitting are nonsence.
