I didn't mean clash as in feud or whatever you call it; I meant are mods thinking differently and therefore failing at deciding what happens to threads? Apparently not, then.

Sevenless' post about trolling is shit, it's like saying "fag" means cigarette nowadays. It "does" but it really doesn't, when you take a big view of the internet, trolling is "lololololol U PIK UR NOSE HEH troling",
not satire. What Sevenless thinks is trolling isn't satire trolling, it's just satire.

Urban Dictionary wrote:2. Trolling
The art of deliberately, cleverly, and secretly pissing people off, usually via the internet, using dialogue. Trolling does not mean just making rude remarks: Shouting swear words at someone doesn't count as trolling; it's just flaming, and isn't funny. Spam isn't trolling either; it pisses people off, but it's lame.

The most essential part of trolling is convincing your victim that either a) truly believe in what you are saying, no matter how outrageous, or b) give your victim malicious instructions, under the guise of help.
Trolling requires decieving; any trolling that doesn't involve decieving someone isn't trolling at all; it's just stupid. As such, your victim must not know that you are trolling; if he does, you are an unsuccesful troll.

That's one of trolling definition and Sevenless' interpretation of trolling is spot on, moreover fag in a meaning of cigarett is nowdays used as often as in the meaning of gay. Ofcourse if you spend your time in the circle of single-gray-cell intelectuals and homophobes then only kind of trolling and fags you'll hear about is the ones you assume to be fully defining both words.

Oh Urban Dictionary, if you keep visiting that and Encyclopedia Dramatica you'll know they're both "satire". If you seriously take those seriously, I can't take you seriously.
Edit: What I mean here is, Encyclopedia Dramatica is similar to UD and they both seem to be proud of their (and Sevenless') version of "trolling". They're doing it correctly though, but I define words by what most people think they mean (or by what they're most used as at the moment)
If you google translate "pussy", you will get a vagina in some languages.

That approach has some merits but also some limitations. Majority of people can't differentiate between there's and theirs which doesn't mean those are now equal. Ultimatly one of them is used correctly and the other is used incorrectly, per each particular case.

Yeah but that's just grammar... It's similar words, there's a clear distinction between "fag" and "cigarette". "fag" and "homosexual".
Still, there's some people who play dumb when you call them a fag, and will be like "smoke me, then." Do you think that's the same as "your a table"?

Seriously, did you expect anything else of me than to look up the definition of a word when someone tells me I'm using it wrong?

edit2: wikipedia definition was what I was referring to btw:

In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people,[1] by posting inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_Internet

That disagrees entirely with what I'd considered good trolling before.

Trolling is a method of fishing where one or more fishing lines, baited with lures or bait fish, are drawn through the water. This may be behind a moving boat, or by slowly winding the line in when fishing from a static position, or even sweeping the line from side-to-side, e.g. when fishing from a jetty

Somehow I like this definition better.
