where was it? Sure no public one.
AFAIK there was just an image of small sized map where influence circles where drawn in...which was obsolete very fast.

I don't know whether Google maps allow collaborate marking...on the other hand who knows if markers that get set there are true...

Granted it was somewhat of a generalization but it did acurately represent where the big factions were.

And all the rest is... MINE! :D

I expect Brodgar will have a nice little circle of influence in this world , eh Yolan ?

a question on maps, without starting a thread, is/will there an update since the world expansion to include the unknown outer regions?

i'm doing it for my area. Anyway the main faction should not fear to give theyr really unprecise areas. Everybody can easily track them and have an idea of where they live. Everybody already have done this, so a gian red circle can't be a Danger, honestly and could give some more sense of the game, looking at how players generically conquers and play.

That whould be awesome to look at.

Ps: Yolan, you're really one that know how to enjoy this game more than what it seems.

Issue would be big factions tend to use the policy of "don't disclose what isn't needed to be known". Smaller factions don't dare "claim" area unless they become a target by bored bigger factions during the lul between wars.

So... impasse.

I know I would like to do the same for my own open town. . . but apparently me idea was dismissed when I started talking about inkweed. Why not do maps the way through rabbit skins, I am getting lots of those every other day?

PS: Yes it is Yolan's appreciation of the game and his unique application for village mechanics and meta-mechanics that makes him such a brilliant leader. . . I am glad to be a part of Brodgar community.

A detailed map can be dangerous in many ways. The first one is attract attention on you.

If i find a map, i WANT to know where it lead. I'm not a raider, but the curiosity is a human thing, so yeah, it can be dangerous.

But a random raider is of no use against a main faction, and a giand red circle that cover around 4 supergrid isn't..SO dangerous.
Really.

I know where AD is and i didnt needed any map. They leaves scents EVERYWHERE. But i'm not here to ruin the game of no one, so if no one want i don't want post my personal map.

But dis know where ad is. Ad know where dis is. Etc etc.
So the main factions knows where they are. (the official towns, at last.)

..then, who other could harm them? XD

Boy.
Why don't u build a wall or a road that create a Square? That square is your territory.
That whould be fucking funny. "I'm in Ad land! Jump! I'm in Dis land D:!!"
..
well, just kidding. Whould be funny to play just for me, prolly. I love fair battles and challenges. Rules about "how to conquer a land" and "what you can't do if isn't your land"
...prolly the wrong game. But meh, so boring fight without rules. U.u'
