Me too!

I would love to have a world that lasts 2 years or so, tbh, I think resets are only needed to offset boredom, I know lots of you won't agree but I guess those of us that play for reasons other than pvp or are not in the race for high resources are quite happy to take our time. I trade for higher quality but it doesn't stop me from raising my own still, I just take longer to do it. :)

Very nice post. Although some of the timetables are a bit more compact. "First Phase" for example lasts less then 1-4 days for organized groups and the "Second Phase" going for less then 2 weeks tops before the "Third Phase" starts.

But to give my opinion on the matter.

I must say that world resets ruin the game. The whole idea that there is a need for world reset and this rat rase to start and die of 2 months later fragments the whole permadeath crafting. The game turns into some extended DoTa game where resource flagging and screaming first on the forum is the whole fundamental core of it all.

The game got a bit more balanced with the new changes with the p-claim system and so on and the ability to destroy any type of object with rams. The underworld got a bit more nerfs as well making resources yet a bit more harder to mine as well giving new players the chance to find resources after joining the world a bit later.

The game did move towards a more lasting system where world resets wasn't necessary but as for pvp it completely was ruined with the moment combat was nerfed. With that giving titan characters late game a complete invulnerable shield towards weaker opponents. The whole non ended UA leveling got even worse with the movement combat nerfs with the flex nerf and whatnot.

But the whole faze between start of server resets and till the point where things cool down is the perfect example of a imbalanced injection of hyped MMOs have. You can see it in any other starter of MMOs. All the hyped up excitement dies down shorty after and people just leave the game for the rest of us that really do enjoy the haven as we knew it before the world reset in W6. If haven really is a MMO where we need resets constantly to play the rat race over and over we might as well skip the whole resource gathering and aim for total gankfest mentality.

I truly hope at some point Jorb and Loftar can find a system to balance the stagnation with a form of perma world form. I did enjoy my first world reset W7 start but if I have to go through the whole loss and start over with what I lost W6 I might just pack my bags and find myself a new mmo to play cause haven is neither a good pvp game nore a perfect crafting game either with constant resets favoring the pvp and gankfest mentality. I don't see there being any point of building something if its gonna be washed away 8 months down the track over and over. If W8 hits I might just go full retard and build myself the perfect pvp simulator and go around leveling anything and anyone in sight. Why have fun building if all it gives you is a 2 minut fame on the forums then is reset.

Every phase has its own fun to enjoy, and it will not again after the long period of last phase, stuck in the same routine everyday.
About anything that is being lost after a new world, it is to each to their own
Haven is not about anything you build and it'll stay forever, but instead it is for personal or each group's (yet personal) satisfaction / achievement (as i stated at the end of my paragraph, 'World's Trademark' ex: W6 with those Central Peace Zone with Apple for Oranges) with fame as bonus as you finished a world project. It is a game, man.
If you really wanted to make something that is permanent, i think all people should just do anything IRL, like making chair, making world-class poem, making some machine that can make humans live easier, many people did that and it stays forever (besides, it makes money :lol: )

Simpler ? draw something interesting (devian art or something) and it'll stays there or make some big game of yourself like J&L did their masterpiece, Haven and Hearth.

Conclusion and basically speaking, no matter how hard you try having something IN A GAME, it will not stay permanent and does not make any PROFIT for your life in REAL LIFE. Most of them ? IT IS NOT YOURS.
No matter that we spent 100 years to build anything in Haven, LOFTAR / JORB can just make it in less than ONE DAY, what is the point ?
But hey, those PRO dota players won millions of bucks !

We are all here to enjoy anything that is offered by Haven and Hearth, not only their positive parts but including their negative parts.
In Every Phase, there is their own feelings to enjoy the momentum

Telephone ? Alexander Graham Bell
Lights ? Thomas Alpha Edison
Windows ? Bill Gates
Unknown ? Xcom

or probably
The Best Haven Builder ? Xcom (i even doubt that your siblings or family will be happy with it)

why not ? it will stays permanent until the END of our very EARTH

Caps is such a 'loud' way of doing that :<
And do interpunction correct one sentence then forget it the next? ;O

That being said your post was pretty good although I agree with Xcom, some times arent quite accurate.

Some emotion is unconsciously added with the use of CAPITAL, to express what is you really trying to convey.
And you need not to say it is not accurate, I HAVE ALREADY WROTE in the beginning that IT IS not ACCURATE... sigh :?
