If the opportunities for success are lying around on the streets ... than those that are not successful or rich have only themselves to blame and deserve no pity.

The first part is generally spoken by rich successful people, the latter part is how they stay rich and successful (without feeling bad).



Walmart: When asked why they can't pay there employees more wages (there below minimal). They reasoned that there(Walmart's) poor customers can't pay the price rise (which has minimal) on there products id they did.

Great way to make sure your employees are also your customers. And to keep it that way.
