That dissapointed me and kinda put me off. i absolutley loved the old ones, just insert cd and play, no internet needed. perfect entertainment when your internet is down, or any other time for that matter.

Usually I don't bother registering either. Too much time, and there are probably better things to play. That said HnH registration is very short, and doesn't ask for your firstborn child.

Can you give some examples of why and maybe some screens?

Screenshots won't do it justice, you have to see it in motion.... lemme see...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjIOrnPgMHo Possibly Spoilers.....

Everything looks beautifully hand drawn, wonderful animation the combat system is deep enough to be tactical and not just "Wham wham wham Dead Mob", tons of nifty interactions with the environment, graves that can be dug up for treasure or may contain monsters, various stone that can be touched for buffs. It reminds me a lot of a mix between Might and Magic, the Wizardy games and the Eye of the Beholder games...Maybe even a bit of Skyrim in there. For the last 4 months or so you could pre-order it on steam and play through the first act with a limited character class set and that's what someone above was referencing. Like I said, best RPG I've touched possibly since Planescape: Torment.

Not sure if there's a Demo but if there is try it out, unless you destest turn based combat I think the majority will be hooked.
