First, you don;t get it, they may have "thought" there was something supernatural to the "Witches" but in fact there wasn;t so that doesn;t hold water.

Second: you have now succeeded in pissing me off, along with damned near everyone else on this forum and if you keep it up you eventualy will be culled. Go jerkoff, get laid, play a game, do ANYTHING but sit on these forums constantely throwing in your unformed opinions and post whoring....

I figured you would say that. The argument can be made but is flawed. Whether it was superstition or not really isn't relevant to it being very much the same in idea and manner. There simply is no legal case. Its been used to many items and the trademark is diluted. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trademark_dilution Personality has nothing to do with the validity of an argument. If you want to make that legal argument it simply wont get far. The only case that they would have is if someone copied their game or intentionally mislead people about which is the original game. The basis of law is whether it hurts the market negatively. It doesn't so any legal case is very weak. I'm here to talk about legal arguments and nothing else.

Urgh. I was having a good day, why did you have to bring that up? I hate IP and copyright laws, they are so ass-backwards.

painhertz wrote: Yes, I'm serious. i am quite aware of Salem being an actual place and the name being used quite a lot, I however am not aware of anywhere it was used in s supernatural sense prior to Jorb's idea for the game, the show will also be dealing with a supernatural treatment of the place. hence my question.

Sorry...I try to avoid visual tripe if at all possible. Also?: I clearly stated that "I" am not aware of such a thing. Sorry if I don't study the supernatural media derived from various American cities, I was just trying to make a slightly interesting post about something I ran across on face book. Good job on being a self-righteous prick though. Hope you enjoy your next viewing of "Hocus Pocus". :: Eyeroll ::
