Expedition overlord, that's how they call the job, now if only it was as well paid as proud it may sound.
'Been overseeing work in numerous forts, honestly speaking these mining guild folk are some sort of psychos, always sending expeditions on savage or accursed places explaining
that it will certainly bear profit. But eh enough of this, nothing a strudy dwarf couldn't get over.

Spring:
The blazing sun won't have any mercy on us, lads. Get diggin'! Even morso, because tribes of tick people has been reported there...
Our rock nuts have vanished for some reason...
Besides that nothing unusual is going on. We've managed to set up some workshops, most importantly still, and we've proceded to create grand class dining room to maintain morale.

Summer:
The dining room is up and the perimiter is secured.
We've just figured out that one of our silly brethern has trapped himself outside the perimiter, looks like the dwarves are sun-proof to some degree after all.

Fresh meat...

Also one of the dwarves went insane... his idea better pay off the blockade of workshop...

Autumn:
I managed to order the dwarves to construct some sort of natural tower. This will be good place for observers later, also will serve great for catapult position.

A couple more migrants has arived, so I decided to order 2 of my dwarves to start training already.

Aaand the trading caravan arrived at last.
I have talked to the liaison, and honestly what the hell?! They told me that I am getting replaced? Bloody corrupt mining guild, after all that way I went through to get here.
Anyway I've ordered some leather, charcoal and coke (for some reason those imbeciles haven't researched coke stones yet) and ewes. Looks like I will stay here for a while.

Winter:
Winter has arived and those lazy bastards haven't finished the temporary trading depot yet. Aaah of course those sway rebelious wiseguys suspended it... now they better finish it quickly or i will suspend their booze rations...

Unfortunately our insane surgeon-wanna-be-bonecarver has lost his patience. Poor communication skills, eh...

Also our fellow watchboys could use some sort of roof around their barracks.
As a bonus fact we researched that sniper shooting at random animals has miraculous effect on aiming skills.

The spring has arrived and my time as overseer has come, I would recommend my successor to finish the marksdwarf hill ASAP, sun-fried marksdwarf is not an useful dwarf.
I think I will stay here for a while. At least I won't have to see any of those guild cheats' faces...

Good luck.
