Windows only rules dim casuals and kids. As for 80+% of the internet, the international space station, and basically everything else where computing is necessary, linux is it. If you find linux mint (of all things) hard to use, maybe you should stick to your shitty, restricted kiddie OS and forget about linux altogether.

I use my computer for other things than gaming i needed it up and running

with my video card not working on sound not working i can't do other things.

when i get more fimiliar with linux im sure i'll use it. Just at this point in time i can't

Windows is prevalent because it comes preinstalled on most systems sold, is generally easy to use, and games run on it. As time presses on Mac and Linux are picking up the same software and access to games that Windows has but for now Windows is just damn convenient. =)
