My first travels, the first person I ever met was a hermit in his tiny brickwalled settlement. We talked for a bit and I gave him some seeds I got from an unowned farm, he opened his gate and gave me a few toadstools to start off my journey (First week in game). Afterwards, it was magic from here on out. There are a lot of people out there, only they don't wander or roam. They are stuck inside their brickwalled villages/cities. Don't give up hope.

to get your Map Coords you might use Anemone client ...

If you want to look out for people to socialize with make an Alt, give it a back pack, a strawhat and a boat ... nothing to loose ...

In all my travels 98% the people i met ( equal what outfit i had) where happy to have a chat aslong you show them that you don't want to harm and show respect for other nationalities and languages ... i even got warned friendly not long ago not to go further on in a certain direction by a scout guarding a whole bunch of boats at a lake ... sure there are some areas where i wouldn't go in with a decent char

I just returned after a long hiatus since world 6 and I started in pretty much a ghost town as well. Maybe one or two small settlements on the "island." There's a small village as well in the moor but that's about it. I've yet to even see someone alive. So lonely
