We don't even know if hearth fires will be a thing. I'm not even sure if devs know. We have months of waiting ahead, it's not the best time to criticize non existing things.

Why would they remove anti alt spamming feature in hafen? It fixxed so many problems in haven, would be unclever to make it possible again.

Also this would be only a problem in early world i guess, because later on its easier to just craft some torches than to spawn new chars..

Does it increase from 5 minute time limit? because it wouldnt take long to cover area in HFs also considering you can spwan to HFa make HFb (provided branches and dream) then spawn to HFb and make HFc and so on.

But yea currently, if I would need torches for some reason I would just farm plant fibers.

They just need to make it non-eye-straining, and also not send the client information for objects that you shouldn't be able to see given the amount of light on them. :)

That would actually be an interesting mechanic. Since you need a free hand to hold a torch, it would make night-time activities fairly challenging (especially combat).

It might actually encourage folk to do indoor things during the night and outdoor things during the day. Aside from the sneaky types, of course.

Introducing sneakiness. I like it. It's probably not gonna happen, but who knows? Hope it does. Gonna do the ol' hiding behind trees to sling down a fag early world thing.

The spawned HFs have the same timer as the first one ;)

You know, in King Arthur's Gold you could climb trees to hide and were only found if someone chopped them down.

What I really want to see, though, is poison for food, bigger lakes, and bigger boats.

Currently boats are kinda flawed right now though. The last thing we need is more boats. Like if you are in a boat chasing somebody, its a pretty flawed chase. If you dont have backup to trap him, and if he doesnt suck, your chances of getting him arnt all that great.

What would fix boats would be if boating took stamina to go at max speed, and if it took some time (like a well) to get water from your boat. That way it would at least be like running, and at some point someone would either get away or catch up.

Imagine the possibilities - ambushing someone with archers from the treetops, infiltrating a village in the night and poisoning a wine glass, pushing someone overboard from boats to drown them. It probably won't happen, but having an actual stealth mechanic as an alternative to traditional combat would be interesting.

Making raiders think twice before stealing food, wondering why that mbc is still lying there and wasn't eaten yet, deforesting entire grids so that no one hides on the trees to sneak up on your village, placing torches at strategic locations, putting four people on a ship to make it move faster.

A man can dream.

no

We will have little purple men calling down thunder on each other and running around trees swinging axes in a conical manner at each other
