Adding "order now" button would be also great, that way you would just check the list of requested and offered things then contact people who left their HS for you.

It has been discussed, we were thinking about creating sort of an inventory where you drop what you want to buy, add in your contact details and press send, we receive an email with the list of items and your details and you get contacted afterwards. But we feared that would rather annoy some people, or that it would be useless. Anyway, it may get added, we shall see. :D

Mister borka sir, it's not phenomenal, it's just new in the Haven world, something we wanted to try and see how it works out. :)

Don't get me wrong, Borka. Apples & Oranges is useful, but it doesn't offer the same personalization that people strive for when presenting their shops.

If someone can make their ingame shop into an actual website, kudos to them.

I've tracked a lot of Apples & Oranges threads, and this seems to be among the first to actually break free from the confines from the forum, and in all those years, wouldn't you too call that phenomenal?

Sky is the limit for them, and growing communities like ours need people who can make a website which generates appeal to the game. I wouldn't be surprised if they branch out further from this site of theirs, to handle recruitment for their group and offer other services.

They're taking HnH into the right direction by moving forward with their idea, by branching out from the forum, so keep it up you two.

Vaku - i just critizised you used the word "phenomenal" - i don't critize the OP for doing such - no i even think it's a clever marketing strategy to post it in the Inn in this way instead of setting a link at AfO - that way he did it's ok in here i'd say and on the other hand he's got a bizness benefit... :P

On the other hand what use is a " HnH AfO webshop" if he wouldn't advertise its url here at forums ... ;)

btw. there is a lot of stuff "outsourced" from forums - the images at image hosters, client and mod DLs, chatting at skype, voice chats on TS, different language forums, world maps (even ones for private circles with markings), and there's been a whole server Phades runs (ran) for DLs and Odditown communication, etc. ... but in the center still sits this forum and the game ...

The best thing with the OPs post is that it leads to a free web hosting service that even offers a bunch of templates and a forum ... so others might jump on the train (look at the source and see what cs scripts are used ;) ) ... and there might be things other than AfO webshops aswell ;)

(btw. if i'd run a bigger village i'd prolly would do the management on an external website ...)

Thank you all for your feedback, it helps us a lot ! Since we've got many positive answers, we're going to try and get a sort-of final version by the end of the week. I also want to apologize for the current host, it is a free one and it's great, don't get me wrong, but the first time you get on the page you kind of have to wait for everything to cache and close the ad pop-up, which could be annoying for some people. Once we have a final version I will consider buying a domain or switching everything on my personal one. In the meantime please, if you have any other ideas, something you would like to see on a presentation site like this or something you wouldn't like to see, do tell me via pm or in this thread.

Thank you once again and see you soon with updates !
