I was hunting around your village a few days ago, it's a nice place. I was wondering two things, how do you know the person was using a mac?

Also, where is Mordor? I have heard it mentioned before.

A thief would be a newbie, someone who I assume wouldn't have the means to make steel or wrought for them self should be easy to spot. And any amount larger than two coming from a noob should be considered as suspect.

so what do you suggest to do? suspect everyone who wants to trade iron of theft?

If they have no capacity to make it, then yes. Some hard questions should be asked. I am not one to harass innocent blokes or to lop heads off. But if I find the right person...

im wondering how this should work. like ask where he got the iron from, and then? he could answer anything. and the next step? following him home to see if he has smelters?
while im really sorry for their losses, i dont see anything that can reasonably done here. i wouldnt tell ppl anything who suspect me of stealing.

we also lost lots of potential steel to a thief. our answer is better security...

Well, we don't expect it to be viable to find someone by what they trade, they may just use them theirself. However if possible we would love it returned. We also will be stepping up security, though most of the common methods don't work that well for us.

Yeah someone stole 4 of our chests the other day. mostly containing food along with a few other more important items >.>

Now I'm making a 100% safe vault.

yes, and we will - Sigh. While it lasted, it was nice to play in a less paranoid world. I was plenty paranoid already, just from the foxes and boars. I spent a fair amount of game time learning to get comfortable with unconsciousness.

yea we've had the odd cart or chest go missing if were all out of the village at the same time, and i'm pretty sure people just take food from us when they come through if none of us are there. [we do large projects and the like outside the village].
*shrugs* thieves happen, if you catch em, or figure out who, then slaughter em, otherwise.. Just keep slogging away.

Hmmm... I've tried to attach something twice and both times it was all cleared. Oh well. This'll have to be a response for everyone, I guess.

Anyway, I stand by what I said along with Coriander. It's not like an interrogation, you would stay nonchalant just sort of ask as you're trading "This seems like a lot of steel for a new guy, where's your settlement?"

Devnon, I changed my mind. We'd happily accept metals.

Mordor used to be the yellow area out of the rings. The worst place with the highest level enemies. Now, it doesn't really exist. I suppose that if you're living in the area with the highest level of monsters, you could say you're living in Mordor.
