Honestly most people were just wary of having dangerous neighbors and as long as they were comfortable with you then there was no conflict. Seriously, it's a pumpkin, no one would spazz out and murder you for that under normal circumstances. Over the last few worlds large factions have gotten bored and begun hunting players for the fun of it though, so there is some danger that a random player will find the scents and murder you for the sake of murdering you.

That said? There is nothing you can reasonably do to protect yourself at this point so don't worry about it and go have fun. Death is something that sorta happens in the hearthlands and if you fret about it too much you'll turn into a paranoid mess like the rest of us. =)

Then steal I shall, but I'm still of the mind to replace what I stole once I get the capability to.

If you can, steal 1 bar of steel, 27 wrought, two cast, and a ton of bricks.

Then you can steal to your heart's content

Haven't been able to do that, but I'm working towards making a claim.

You better hope I don't find you, scum.

My, oh my. You certainly have a rather harsh outlook. I offered what I have done not as a prayer for forgiveness, but to explain that I had to do what I needed to to survive. Being new to the game, I didn't know of the forums until today. If I get killed for stealing a pumpkin? Then I deserve that, however, I did so out of necessity and did not take more than I absolutely had to.

I have a policy of repaying what I take, I refuse to leave a debt unresolved. If we are to be enemies because my survival was important to me, then I accept the consequences. I hope that isn't the case.

How dare you say this to me, good sir, I take this as an insult to my manlihood and shall actively hunt you for this crime against me. The day my sword cleaves you in half is the day I will forgive you, and NO SOONER. GOOD DAY.

You are touchy. I insult your manlihood by agreeing with you instead of arguing? You seem to be rather trolly, offering death for no particular reason. I'll see you when it happens, Jomme. To return the offered trolling; if this is your idea of having power or being important, I suggest taking a step back, re-evaluating your life and moving on. If fictional authority is the highlight of your life, good luck surviving.

Good day, sir.

Fictional? FICTIONAL? THE HEARTHLANDS ARE VERY REAL AND NON-FICTIONAL. I take back my words, I will not forgive you, you have not only insulted me but also the Hearthlands, a crime punishable by ever lasting torture. But, I shall be kind, and merely take your linen clothes and shoes, and force you to run TWO THOUSAND TILES in the forest.

I have a better idea. Just kill my character, enjoy your disconnect from reality, and I'll make a new character. That way, you get to have your petty revenge, I get to be unknown once more, and we both and enjoy your delusions.
