I'm still all for a never-ending world, I hate having to lose all I've worked for and built up over such a long period of time, I don't enjoy the start of the world in the same way a lot of you do, it seems tiresome to me having to start out again from scratch when you've done it so many times before and I don't get bored with a long lasting world. Well, I get bored from time to time and take breaks or don't play as often but that is purely because I've been playing Haven for a few years now, not because the world has lasted a long time, I barely played at all at the start of this world and it took me months to finally establish myself because of it, once I was established is when I played the most. The thought of having to do it all again a fourth time is not one I'm relishing.
However, for an endless world, clearly there would need to be some form of capping to make it work (on top of renewable resources) and some kind of mid-game goals - I know that sounds vague, lol, I can't think of an example, that's Jorb and Loftars job.
