I've always been in favour of an endless world, against capping of stats or tools and have spoken out against such many times but, I have to admit it doesn't work long term, endlessly rising numbers is ridiculous. (You were right Potjeh, :) )

I'm still all for a never-ending world, I hate having to lose all I've worked for and built up over such a long period of time, I don't enjoy the start of the world in the same way a lot of you do, it seems tiresome to me having to start out again from scratch when you've done it so many times before and I don't get bored with a long lasting world. Well, I get bored from time to time and take breaks or don't play as often but that is purely because I've been playing Haven for a few years now, not because the world has lasted a long time, I barely played at all at the start of this world and it took me months to finally establish myself because of it, once I was established is when I played the most. The thought of having to do it all again a fourth time is not one I'm relishing.

However, for an endless world, clearly there would need to be some form of capping to make it work (on top of renewable resources) and some kind of mid-game goals - I know that sounds vague, lol, I can't think of an example, that's Jorb and Loftars job. :)

or, some constant (like monthly or weekly basis) new contents as updates would surely help i think, like there used to be until the first half of w3. (though i only had the luxury of experiencing that excitement with the last two.)

I only see the way to go if the nodes would deplete and new ones would come to the surface so you'd constantly need to be in the search for them. World would be more dinamic and not like now, where you just buil an idol, put afk alt in your home and ramcheck 1x per day and no one can touch you.

Caps should be horizontal asymptotes, so you can always grind to get the highest number for e-penis purposes, but can't grind infinitely to obtain any meaningful advantage over other players.

Also, why is Loftar answering questions clealry addressed to Jorb?

Faster decay times, auto-declaim after 30 days, and random node q changes would solve a lot of old-world problems I suppose.

So tell me, sir, how much better that Q400 is better than that Q200?

You can do some quality calculations here if you feel like it
http://199.233.247.46/Twixie/Haven/Calculators.html

Do some calculations with q400 tools and intestines/meat
(a 400 meat grinder is possible because the wood is not factored into the end q)
