To be honest it feels less like feminism at this very moment and more like criminal justice reform. The hot topic of the week is rape. Overwhelming it's women who are raped but it's a problem men face too all too often. Unfortunately it's an issue that only women are willing to fight for. It's a thing that's illegal but if you do it, you are pretty much guaranteed to not be prosecuted for it. I find it disgusting that our criminal justice system is such trash and I'm glad that people are willing to fight it to fix it wherever they can.

Are we to put every man in prison if a women says she was raped by him? How many innocent men would be put behind bars?
Do you have any thoughts in your head besides disgust that you can impart to us? how would you solve this issue?

That's not the case though. If it was then you wouldn't have bold faced confessions by the rapists in court as excuses for their actions. You can literally say it was because she was wearing jeans and be acquitted of rape, as Nicholas Gonzalez found out. Thanks to the precedent this set South Korean courts began to overturn rape cases where the rapists said it was because the victim was wearing jeans.
Or heck, are you wearing a skirt? How about a tanktop? Scandalous, that must mean it's okay to rape you according to the courts when they set the precedent by releasing Steven Lord who said he couldn't resist when he saw her wearing that. These aren't unique in any way. Say she was asking for it. Fuck him while he's in prison. Hell, most of the time it's even fine if you're doing it to a minor, as Massachusetts teaches us as its courts and lawmakers struggle to find a "compromise" on the position as the courts want to maintain the legality of it. These aren't unique cases, these are the norm. This is why the DA hates even attempting to prosecute because you can have a mountain of evidence showing that rape happened and the court will still rule that it was the victim's fault.
It's a fucking joke. I have nothing but disgust for our legal system. It does not act for the good of the people or the betterment of society.
My solution is the solution everyone hates -- kick the for-profit mentality out of it and just tax us. Stop giving bonuses and percentages to police departments for writing tickets. Fuck private prisons and get courts out of bed with them so we can stop having judges like Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan who literally convict children for throwing mashed potatoes at home to serve decades in prison because their prison owner buddy has a quota to fill. We have prison quotas for gods sake, we have to fill prisons up to 90% capacity as per contract. Public defenders earn fucking ~$70 a case. It's no shit you'll go up the river if you have a public defender versus a lawyer who is paid tens of thousands of dollars per case. Make us pay for the proper services and stupid shit like this will happen much, much less.
I'd also like a reduction in judge terms but I'm not actually sure if that would do anything. It's just weird to me that an appointment to the supreme court is for life. Likewise, in California, you get a 12 year term as a judge before you're up for election again. No other seat enjoys such immunity.
