1) The playerbase is perfectly healthy. If anything it's stronger than it normally should be after two years without development on a world. We're seeing about 200 people on at a time.
2) Short-term growth spurts only hurt the game in the long run by discouraging players from trying better, more finished products by burning them out on older products.
3) The reason for players is testing the game. There is literally nothing to test right now. Any major problems that do arise in Haven will just delay production of Hafen.
4) The world and its playerbase aren't particularly healthy for new players at the moment. Lets face it, most will be chased off by the abrasive and outright aggressive behavior of the current userbase both on the forums and in the game.

So, no. Don't advertise for Haven.

Why the fuck would you advertise now? The world is two years old, only the hardcore are left and will slaughter newbies all day. Hafen will be released anytime, and besides there are plenty of people playing haven still. Especially for how old the world is.... you just need to make some friends bro. Advertising for this game would be a waste of time and money.
