Um....what? how in the hell would it take a whole hour? i mean once you get full advantage(which should be rather easy, just use sidestep) you need to use quell the beast. The only thing i don't understand is how do you get Full and vantage AND have it at 0?

Once you have quelled one time, you have to wait for the animal to fight back, then quell it again and again, five times total. It takes about an hour. Also, you can't attack the cow after the first quelling or you basically have to start all over again.

Don't make any plans, in other words.

^ Yeah, this. If you 'Quell the Beast' once, it only gets 20 'tame points' (number floats above the animal when your 'Quell the Beast' move is successful). At that point it will cease combat mode and it will follow you around. Sometime within the next 5 - 15 minutes, it will go wild and attack you again however.

You then need to Quell the Beast once more. Again this means having battle advantage, zero intensity, enough initiative and an equipped rope. If your second Quell attempt is successful, a '40' will float above. You need to repeat this again 3 times (wait 5 - 15 mins until it attacks, Quell it) - for 5 successful 'Quell the Beasts' in total - before it will change it's art into a domesticated animal. All up, it's an hour to tame given all the joyous waiting and the number of times you need to do it.

During that time, you can be walking it back to camp.

The you're screw-ed..lol I don't think you can transport animals yet. You may could fence it in as close as you can get it to your camp and hope noone finds it before they implement transport. Or be restricted finding an animal to quell within walking distance of your camp.
