- Thief + Kill = Crime? WTF
- Ditch the summoning.
- Keep the tracks for each form of crime.
- Remove any kind of immediate punishments ie ones that other players don't impose upon the criminal.

Then we're good. Then the system wouldn't be broken, and defending yourself + your property is not a crime.

Dude we are the ones with the 100% safe vault!

If it is the one that had like 10 claims in a long line then yea it was 100% thief proof... If it is something different I am curious on how it is done.

It is something different, besides the claim thing wouldn't work anymore.

hmm? no i think we reached the same conclusion as some other villages and realised there was a way to make a 100% thief proof vault.

Offline abuse has to be prevented for the system to mean anything. Summoning may not be the ideal way to go about it, but it's a necessary evil until someone suggests a better solution.

Retribution for justice can be avoided. Let me explain.

All right, so a thief needs high stealth to avoid being found. This means he must focus most of his points in stealth and use none for tracking (or whatever it was called).

This is where ranger teams come in. You need one ranger with high tracking to find the thief's hearth, and one with high stealth to summon and kill him. Because the thief has no ranks in tracking, there's no way he'll find the clue needed to track down the ranger that killed him. He could hire a ranger himself to track down the ranger that killed him, but no ranger is going to go after a team of high-skill rangers without a huge compensation, which means that 99 times out of 100, it simply won't be worth it for the thief to hire a tracker.
