..mmhh for the moment, the "islands" are lands with rivers all around. Ther's not sea so ther's not real islands.

You can see that aren't Island in the deep of the water, lonely and hard to find.
No. because the bigger whater that exist (for now) is lakes :3 And i never found an island in a lake

If you are located on the main grid, you can use http://www.maplib.net/map.php?id=6075 to locate islands and such. If you are off the main grid, you are on your own.

The world is comprised of a 5x5 grid of areas the size of that map. That map is in the center. They are all connected side by side, so you can walk from one to the other, all it takes is time.


Edit. Forgot, the map is the only one released. It was released at the start of the new world, and will be the only official one released. It was released by the Devs.
