What's wrong with that? Just pick a spot with no forest ground and don't expand. :P

A small homestead should be fine..not something to murder a person for.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

If the claim is just on the fringe and isnt a massive area within the forest, I think that goes without saying.

Note that while hogging public resources is one thing, if you go out into morodor, all bets are off.
This is because if you made it out there, you've earned the right to have half a forest to yourself.
Surprise.

If it's something large enough to fill my screen and almost slice the forest so I have to go around/through the claim to get to the small wedge on the other side, then it really ought not be placed in a forest. I don't know why people think it's a good idea.

Sure, but heres the problem, if you CLAIM the forest, creatures wont spawn there.

First, there are only two people in the game who can kill mordor creatures so who can complain? And there is plenty of forest land out there. Have you taken time to look at the map? There is a massive one north of the ocean. Even if someone claims one forest so what? What you are saying is the same as if I turned around and said "People who claim on desert should be murdered because they are hogging clay pits" or something absurd like that.

There is a subtle difference between "hogging" and "preventing the existence of" resources.

But you wouldn't risk trespassing to get the clay would you? You would go to a different desert. Why can't you do the same with a forest?

But, you know, settling in the forest is the first thing most newcomers will do until new types of houses appear.
And, eventually, they'll claim some land...
