He puts (or somehow one is added) an S after http in the address. This makes your computer think it is a secured site (like your bank account or some online shopping cart for examples). When your computer then does not see a valid secure site certificate it gives an error. To see the page you can just remove the S in the adress bar.

He doesn't fully know whats happening while he is not on, and seems to pick the best times to come on anyway. He doesn't even know we have been attacked as much as we have...

Yeah, there's a good reason why I haven't taken the lawspeaker or chieftain position.

I'm sorry to hear about this attack. Things were looking pretty good, and I wasn't expecting this. My thoughts where that even jerks would probably rather a world with NB in it than not.

Any more of the nice sweet "We'll soon be a busy haven for world trade so just hang on while the world gets organized" posts? I'm all for sincere optimism...but uh ummmm.

If you're all for sincere optimism, whats with the tone?

In fact, I'll add this.

I don't believe New Brodgar somehow "can't work" because some people are jerks. What we have right now though is a vulnerable place. That is a contingent fact, and has nothing to do with the basic idea of the city.

If anything, I hope this might encourage some stronger players to consider moving in, and existing players to be careful with their walls and gates, so people are not quite so helpless.

The massive roads are in, the _massive_ square is in, the place is filled with productive personal land. As far as the underlying design philosophy of the town goes, New Brodgar is looking great. Shall we come this far and fall into abandon? If they come, again and again, and no-one stands to help us, then I guess so. And maybe months down the road people might think, damn, I really would like some open place to trade at and visit.

In any case, someone may want to build a ran and break down that trap. We already have Dernholm as a place as a newbie deathtrap and don't want NBG to be one as well, making Claymore the only possible safe charterstone to start on.

Which one? The Dernholm one?
