Why can't you play checkers? It's remarkably simple. You just move stuff diagonally and can jump over things to remove them from the board. You can only move forward until you are Kinged (when you reach the end of the board) and then you can move backward as well. I just explained the entire game in two sentences... can you play it now?

Just as a note, you have the board direction wrong. As the saying goes "white on right" as the player's closest row should have a white square on the far right side. Just use the board 90 degrees rotated from what you had the lines of baskets in the picture.

Nice job, installation art is the bomb. Subway I think you've added more to the game in the short time I've known you were playing than I ever considered was possible, well done!

You could have players be pieces, so they can fight when they come upon one another :P

And all the pieces on the black team will wear black robes, and all the ones on the white team will wear togas!

Except... You should never spar with or duel someone in a black robe! :P
