Congratulations on your "roleplay" (I always call BS on people calling griefing "roleplay" in non-RPI environments) chasing away people from the game. Good job.

He wasn't griefing though, he was doing something that's built into the game - thieving.

If Jorb and Loftar didn't want there to be thieves, they would not have made it possible in the game. Plain and simple.

Fine, not "griefing". I still always call BS on "roleplaying" antisocial behaviour in non-RPI environments.

Antisocial huh? I call BS to that. Anyone from Clayshire would tell you I was social and involved in the town. Just because it's how I played my character instead of farming in LP or making Steel for profit, I decided to make a thief character, and it was a successful one at that (save the being caught and kill part). No one would have ever have guessed that I was a thief. I in no way greifed or alted or anything. It's my main character and he payed the price. If someone leaves the game because they were stolen from, that's plain silly. I has both my ranger bow and robe (cape?) taken from me. By my death I had a new bow, and 2 robes.

If you think me playing my main character as a thief is wrong, that's dumb, it's a part of the game. However I severally look down upon Alter thievs and griefers, as they can't be caught and punished fairly.

It's how I played this character, my next will be different, but it's in the game, it's allowed. I didn't do anything wrong. If I did I would tell Jorb himself to ban me.

BTW, isn't it cool how a game in alpha gets people so worked up?! I can't wait to see the finish!

A prick that's very good at what he did though, you can't deny that.
Didn't anyone bother to check the scents before I got there?
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

You could just accept that thieving is part of the game, and your 'vault' was not secure. It's no reason to quit the game - just make new shit and keep playing.

Why? Because I stole a chest of fake money, that your fake character had earned? If you think that from a game, man you need some help. No offense, but it's not real life, sure you worked hard for it, but my fake character died because of it. And if wait about an hour in my cottege you'll be able to get it back, plus a load of food (that I personally made). Oh but if you would leave my payment for: fueling the smelters for YOUR smelters, for bring and making clay for YOUR crucibles (that you never made for public use btw). You are just as much of a thief as I am (ok I'm a tad more) but promising payment and using the materials that were meNtion for town use is wrong. I did what I thought would set it right, if you have to leave because you're missing a few bars of metal (which are still in my house, again) the so be it. I'm not hurt from it, call me a prick, go ahead. People at Clayshire know that I'm a decent guy when I want to be and am treated fairly. So if you could leave about 50 WIC, thanks.

And I'm not gonna make another thief, it's a farmer this time.

So really, flyod, what have I done to make you call me a prick? Please explain why playing a game (mind you how it was intended) makes me one? Please.

Edit* Im really not trying to be rude. I just think that you're over reacting, I don't think you should leave the game for what I did.

Because, what was the point of spoiling my fun? When in the end yours probably was too. Theiving in this game makes no real sense.
EDIT: I'd be happy to accept it, if it wasn't so easy to do. I'm just trying to have fun and kill some time during my summer, and that time gets wasted.
That's really what I'm mad about.

See I understand about the fun thing. While I'm not a huge fan of the combat, I did like the thieving aspect. The sneakyness I liked, the risk of it. It took time to tunnel through that mine, I really enjoyed it because I was nervous of being caught the whole time! And I took my punishment fairly, didn't I? I didn't try and cheat my puutting my hearth behind a house, so I could be killed, or in a mine, so I couldn't be tracked. I left it how it was, to take the fair punishment, if caught. Plus, I figured I was in the perfect spot! Who woulda guessed that the closest person to the mine stole it!
