Looks like someone stopped by and destroyed a cart of ours and emptied and destroyed one of our chests. All while the server was down.

If it was those murder clues you were trying to get rid of, we have more. And now we are going to use them. Good job.

Griefers getting "griefed". That's a good one.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

Who the fuck said we were griefers? Thieves=/=griefers.

Funny how when someone uses a game mechanic that is built in (thievery), others resort to the one thing they bitch about most to combat it (griefing).

Well you are or atleast was. Not using but abusing mechanics to cause harm. And notice how i put griefed in " ". Because it's not actual griefing since they added those features.

When does a player would be classified as thief? I took out some major amount of bricks (39) from some Kiln to build an Ore Smelter on my first day playing Haven & Hearth (unsuccessful at the end because I needed 1 more brick and the other day I log on the building site has been destoried...

I was told later after taken out 39 bricks from random kilns (owns by no one I was thinking, since those kiln was not build on players owned land area). That I am thieving other's hard work. How can I know next time what to get and what not to get, please advice me?

Hmm.. well if its claimed land / a villages land [in which case you have to turn criminal acts on] and you take it.. Then your a thief.

Everything else is pretty situational/perspective... If you took it from a place that looked like it had been used recently [ a kiln that was say... still on] or other evidence that the owner was just there... then i would suspect your stealing from someone.
As to who would call you a thief or enforce justice on you?
...well who knows?
If you actually commit a crime that leaves a scent, anyone who walks near the crime scent might decide to punish you... of course someone might punish them for punishing you...
Or the original owner might show up and claim it was his and decide to attack you, regardless of a lack of claim.
*shrugs*
it's really situational, towns make there own rules... people who dont live in towns just live by whatever personal code they believe in.

I doubt anyone would murder you over taking bricks regardless.. But i could be wrong.
