yeah not funny. the areas east and west of me have been totally decimated by clear cutting. its not like they even use the wood. *sigh* at least i dont have to do any chopping myself. and it gives me an opportunity to plant more oak trees.

Yeah I'd say a good 60 percent of the time people who get murdered and clamor for justice on the forums did somthing to annoy the person that killed them.

you could be like us. happily in the middle of nowhere. free public gardens for any stray travelers who might decide they are hungry (and you would prefer they NOT go tromping through the claims looking for carrots). trees (planted and wild) out the wahzoo. and said trees start disappearing at an alarming rate. you get to looking. village of "we-will-take-what-you-offer-freely" folks have moved in. stealing and raiding goes up at an alarming rate. cant do a damn thing about it.
nevertheless to say, we are looking for a new place.

Why do people care about this? Chopping is tedious work anyway. If the newbies want to do it then more power to them, saves me the trouble. As long as they don't turn all the logs into stuff that decays then it's just fine and dandy.

It's quite a shame to see all these clearings full of tree stumps and logs.

Make a huge claim/village/brickwall.

There, solved.

I hadn't thought it necessary before now due to pretty much being a hermit. But uh... Yeah. That obviously not true anymore. So... Big ass claim set up now. Shame, I'd originally wanted to allow folks to help themselves to a few things from my garden.

That's apart from noble, still quite possible. Just dont let them help themselves to it, but place things in baskets outside your claim.
Or make a 'garden' outside your claim.

lol.
had my american born bedmate telling me how to do it so as to keep sorsa's grammar nazis away from me.

seriously though. the bitching is due to the fact that its dangerous for the drone players to roam looking for wood when some jackass has clear-cut your area and made shoes or buckets out of everything.
