DF is the shit. If you haven't played it, I strongly recommend you do.

its a awsome game you may want to get a graphic mod if you can't stand ACSII

i remeber trying to build a underground hydro dam and accidently flooding my fortress and repateing my same mistakes

the battle i had in my residential sector when the plan was to shoot a wooden missle at the goblins and that human lasher broke threw our lines toke awhile to kill with all the new waves of ambushes they kep sending

a time where my whole fortress went into a massive fey riot it was a mess everyone beating up each other, bodys and tearing down everything after a millitray dwarf shoot and killed a insane dwarf (guese he was the socail pillar at the well partys)

enjoyed them all :D

in 2010 a whole alot is added but still a bit buggy
as for 2010 being any harder then 40#D it just felt like 40D unless it was the buged acid rain and water that melted you if you swimed in it :P

You better be accustomed to losing too, why?
Because:

LOSING IS FUN

I've had some pretty fucking hilarious stuff too, ranging from mad dwarves being pushed off massive bridges to losing an entire fortress to a herd of skeletal bighorn sheep (40d stuff)
On the topic of a griefer:

Heh, a guy in our programming class would always play this. Seemed interesting enough.

DF is a good game that's held back by a lot of bugs. It will probably be a lot more fun when the current batch of bugs is fixed. Shame it's a one man job. If it was open source then it'd probably see a lot more progress.

Actually, it's a two-man job (in the same style as H&H); Toady just ends up doing all the code and most of the PR. Also, the game's graphic engine is a community project, as I recall.
