It is because the game is in alpha that there is no guide. The devs make the many changes and do not want to also have to update a guide as they do so. There are very many who would agree with you that the absence of a guide makes the great difficulties. But I urge you to ask the questions as there are many people who will be glad to answer them.

The game is not intended to be easy. The devs state that they would expect for you to lose one or two characters before you learn to play. Also, in case you had not realised it, the boar did not kill you, only he renders you unconscious. Most times the bear does 9 or 10 hard hit points of damage and the boar does 3 or perhaps five. You have one hundred hard hit points to begin with so you may survive 10 attacks by the bear and at least 20 by the boar before you die.

There are three things you must do to survive when you are new. One is to evade the boars and the bears until you have the method to heal yourself. One is to wear the shoes. And the last is to eat, for you can starve to death.

You seriously need a FAQ to tell you these things?

1 - Stay away from the dangerous wild animals
2 - Wear shoes
3 - Eat food

I mean, there's some unintuitive stuff in HnH I agree, but these don't seem to be the problems

Those are kind of common sense one Trav. I think he means like 'WTF am I suppose to do in the middle of this dung hole called a forest'?' kind of thing.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.

If any video is made it should be for newbies and cover just the basics of survival and setting up a noob camp.

It should be quick. There was another guy who made a 5 minute video on how to make leather with them tiny as text boxes from utube to explain everything and it was lame.

Move to a river, build a house, start a farm, setup a few drying racks and tanning tubs. I believe that's common sense.

Common sense hasn't been common since forever.
