Sounds good to me actually. I plan on getting rid of my shitty WinMo 5 phone soon and plan to pick up an HTC Hero cant wait for android. and I'm generally not a huge fan of apple either. the only thing they've succeeded in is their iPod touch. although theyre pretty strict about what goes in and out of theyre app store. Alas, an adroid app would be nice, I must agree.

Kidding...Uhh, I don't think we need any more players, or rather, more helpless newbies who will undoubtedly find the forums and start shitposting without even reading any of the forums. Not saying the whole of Facebook are twats, just that some of them are quite self-obsessed...

Not that I do, or would, use Facebook myself*, but I can see what appeal it has to people. Even though Facebook has its (large and varying) share of problems, I've got quite a number of thoughts on social networks, which is one of the many things I like to explore when not writing on Haven or any of my other more prioritized projects. I can see that it would be fun for those people who do use Facebook to use their established social structures over there to find other people to play with, and to communicate what's happening to them in-game.

That said, I for one am certainly no way, ever, going to "partner" with Facebook in order to do such a thing if that is necessary, and I don't have enough interest in Facebook to do it myself anyway. If anyone else would like to do it and need some way to extract in-game information, however, I may find myself interested.

There are those, indeed. I don't really think that's a problem with Facebook per se, however, but rather with people; I'd be fairly sure they display the same problems IRL. :)

I wouldn't waste my time making a client for Android, but if there was a demand for an application to check for claim intrusion, character status/events(like if you've been summoned or killed), kin/village requests/invites (and maybe changing beliefs if they were changed to tick while logged out) and more, that'd be something I'd be willing to make.
