Literally everyone seems to have a mine by now anyway and population is not exactly dense either. More grids would not help us at all atm. I also thought you had a mine voodoo?

300player all the time online. i would guess this is a activ player base of 900guys.
900 guys on 81grids means ~11guys per grid. i guess you have a minimum of 2players per grid who are wandering around to check whats going on on there grids wich means you have no chance to build up a _hidden_ big sexy fortress. wont think about mines :/
