Combat will functionally be fought by bots that you program. more or less. So you might want to pass on this.

Like what? WoW is based on mathematics along with many other games that people enjoy. What would you prefer? CoD? How does HnH combat revolve solely on math? Movement combat removes the stat bonus and then goes into armor class which is easily overcome with decent str so player skill does come into the combat system after that. Knowing which moves to use at the right time, when to run, etc.

my NUMBERS have to beat their NUMBERS so my NUMBERS can continue to rise above their NUMBERS so i have to figure out the best NUMBER configuration to outdo their NUMBER configuration, to do this i have to know all the NUMBER outputs of my moves and the NUMBER outputs of their moves and calculate all of these NUMBERS so that my NUMBERS come out on top.

math is not required, but look at how much of HnH is based around NUMBERS and how well the people knew the NUMBERS who were advanced in this game. math helps.

because NUMBERS

Show me an mmo that doesn't that isn't a fps. And even then, numbers determine how strong different guns and other weapons are.

Combat in Topia Online is automated, but you do not use a 'bot' to control it.

Instead, you can control your 'stance' during combat. You can pre-configure up to three different stances, each with their own unique fighting styles. For example, your 'stance 1' could be based on closing distance quickly, using mobility, focusing on fast attacks, and tiring your opponent. Your second stance could be based on recovery where you try to knock back your opponent, heal your wounds, dodge major attacks, etc. Your third stance could use fireball spells and bow/arrow to attack from a range.

The combat system is designed to be skill-based and reactionary according to what your opponent is doing. However, you do not have to memorize 'dozens of hotkeys'. Instead, you use three simple keys to change the flow of combat based on your personal preferences and fighting styles.

Here is a screenshot of the 'combat strategy' configuration:

Notice that you can assign points into each stance. As you apply points to 'strategies' in the stance, it will increase your character's availability of actions during combat. Combat occurs in realtime, and it is up to you to change stances as needed to gain the upper hand against an opponent. Each combat strategy will offer specific benefits or penalties against opponent strategies. You will need to carefully watch how your opponent is fighting and decide what stance is most appropriate for his fighting style.
