Let me assure you that I am not one of the devs. Maybe the way I say it makes me look like one of them, but no, I was merely using "us" as preference to the Salem community. MagicManICT can confirm that if you need some proof. (I hope he will help :P)
I'm only one of the people who have to check in everyday when Salem was dying. It means a lot to me to see Salem at this state. You won't believe the atmosphere we had over there in the last days of Seatribe with the game. It's gloomy and deadly. The game was for sure going to die back then.
For getting it back on its feet, Mortal Moments has my gratitude. That's why I don't feel like blaming them even though they made mistakes. That's why I try to help them spread the world.
Bananas and taxi cabs are both yellow, so surely you can see how closely related they are.

I just thought a complete break down on why the two games are related is completely unnecessary for the players here. You totally know how they are related. I felt weird when I have to prove that point.
But yeah, I admit that was dumb.
Also, if you have less or equal than two words to express your argument about this game, you can just keep it to yourself - or not, your choice. I just want you to know that "opinion noted, next."

@txtrung0

I understand your passion for Salem. Everyone loves a game that clicks with them. They want to share it. That's fine. I think what everyone is trying to tell you is that of all people the Haven community knew about this far before anyone else. They were some of the earliest testers and promoters. All in large they were not pleased. It did not hold the same charm to them. And that is fine to. As i mentioned you have to connect with a game.

If you want to share changes just drop them in a personal thread now and then. Just forego a sales pitch. As I said most have tried it if not for the game to support Jorb and Loftar. However realize if the game did not connect to them or now Jorb and Loftar no longer support it you may receive less than enthusiastic support.

Best wishes with your pleasure. :)

Thank you LadyV. I understand it now. From now on I will just drop the note and will try not to sound too commercial. :)
Jorb and Loftar are generous enough to continue their support though, they didn't stop. Like the last crash, Loftar fixed it.

Salem has 2 major flaws that people experience before anything else.

1) Collision boxes are all kinds of fucked up, making the overall gameplay tedious as fuck because you're constantly "derping" around invisible bullshit.

2) Black load screens every 10 steps

It has many many more flaws, but these are the 2 that are the most rage inducing

I'm with you on those two. Even though I'm to familiar with them that I hardly notice it anymore, it is super frustrating to overcome at first. Don't know if we have a solution for that.
I'm thinking maybe "collision box" only apply when you place the object and then after that it is reduced to be smaller than the model. We will sometime see char merging with objects but it's no big deal.
The tile loading is just bad. Haven't heard anyone die because of it but still.
@ninijutsu nah man make yourself a rope and climb that mountain. Best experience. Feel so accomplished on top. Plus rare curios up there. Takes me thirty mins.

This is the overwhelming response when these retards post about Salem. OP also spews inaccurate information all the time. The moron even sends me PMs asking to change my Reddit post because he wants to mask shit.

Honestly if you haven't played in a year or so it's worth checking out again. Yeah there is alot of annoying stuff in game but the Devs have been really good about listening to ideas and changing stuff around. One thing that is missing in Salem is the pvp. Everyone is a carebear.
