oop, i did have them designated for dumping. removed that designation, and they were put in their appropriate coffins. my only problem now is several dead animal corpses, which are designated for dumping, because i want them dumped in the corpse stockpile. they arent being removed either.

i was bugged :\ abandoned the fortress, started a new one, works perfectly.

also, on surface level, i have 3 miners. on the next level down, i have mining designated, but they arent responding. if one of them happens to go downstairs for some reason, and while they are down there, i redesignate it, they will respond, but only then.

am i missing something? its a pretty large area dug out below, i dunno.

So some goblins just tried riding their amphibious mounts into my fort through the well entrance. All of the goblins drowned, some mounts got to my well (Didn't have a fortifcation >.>) but some are still down there and won't come up! Am I doomed to forever be in siege mode, or do I have to train a dwarf to breathe underwater?

Maybe the corpses are stopping them getting back up?

Pour lava down there. Alternatively just dig a hole above where they are and have a bunch of dorfs shoot the amphibians to death with bolts. A dorf with swimming would just drown down there anyway.

sardte this is why you make a drainage system in case some dumbass falls down your well and breaks his leg or this happens

To be fair, this is a pretty hilarious problem to have and is going to be fun to work around to find a solution. This is probably one of the best ways to learn to have drainage units or swimming training chambers.
