While there is no point denying biggest botting enthusiasts in this thread are sort of assholes, there is something of an argument to be made nonetheless:

Which one of you "i'd rather be having fun with the game than be competitive" lot is playing proper then? Foraging without hiding objects? What about forage highlights and animal highlights? What about night-vision? Fuel bug and leather bug? Or maybe you afk your characters to set up personal beliefs? Maybe you don't use twitching bug when you hunt? Sign posts when you're taming? I'm just getting bored with this, but the list can go on and on, and most of the stuff here is something everybody use on a constant basis, just as they did for years, of nobody particularly giving a fuck.

Now, you can repeat all you want that it's more convenient to use leather bug and j&l kinda sorta intended in a way for it to be used it's just they never got the chance to set it like so over the last 3 years especially not before we got essential stuff like demijohn and what not. But pause before you do that and apply literally every single one of those arguments to this botting retardation, and you will easily see that the only real argument is "because i can", and that's it.

There is a huge amount of personal hypocrisy involved of people using "community are assholes" as soon as discussion is set over something that is used *against* them as oppose to by them, most entertaining of all are "community has gone to shit" by ganked ganker and "people are dicks" by a person ridiculing other players for using gates instead of abusing teleportation system, but literally any complain thread is filled with those.

The truth is - as retarded it is to compete seriously over anything at the current game stage and as horrific being competitive makes the experience of 'playing' it's not a question of moral to abuse rules or not - if the rules can be abused they will be abused and you will either get killed, quit or grow into crossroads-for-key/night-vision/botting. True that botting is 'higher level' rule abuse, so people usually pick it up last, but, again, essentially it's no different from alting or many many other things, assuming you've got a 'community' playing one game and that game is set up in this way of encouraging rules abuse it will happen to any community, and once you have a load of people doing it they will start justifying what they are doing, so you get *those* idiots.

Now i surely would be better off skipping all this rant of mine but seeing how this was the reason i quit playing this world not two days ago and i never made "BYE QQ" thread, i might as well. Such a shame i didn't get to check out demijohn, i hope it's still there next world reset, it looks nice.
