Granted, this isn't "my" contest, I'm just offering prizes and maybe what some advice. Also: Just because you don't personally have a full on town or equips and shit doesn't mean no one will let you film on their shit? maybe someone should mention the International player base? That's a draw right there.

i'm still not sure about showing all the higher tier of the game in a simple trailer, it's a game that for a very long time is about discovery and learning, it takes a hell of a long time to get to having any real pvp and having gear worth showing off, i felt it was more appropriate to show what a new player would find in the game, it's a trailer after all, sorry it disagrees with your opinion, but i really have no point to argue, since it's just a case of having differing opinions

I still honestly think the trailer on the home page better demonstrates the beginning gameplay AND how versatile and varied the gameplay is and can be. Not to mention the trailers put out are choppy, unprofessional, and made on what seems to be Windows Movie Maker.

mine was adobe premiere CS5, still obviously very unprofessional, i'm not a professional, if i were i would be off doing professional stuff, i just gave it my best shot, maldy's was totally WMM though, he's a total nub like that ( we're friends irl, we made these while we were on skype, i'm not actually being hostile )

I would love to see what a professional could do, but if any were willing i can't help but think they would have already

Well this contest was meant to be fun, but also to allow the community to kinda join up on a project.

For my part, I see no reason to extend this contest. As we had only 2 submissions one of which wasn't totally complete...
This shows me that there is lack of interest. I see many people comment on the video quality and complain about lag etc..

However, these people aren't submitting any video...

So here is what I propose ... We have 2 descent videos...so for my part I'll simply award my promised prizes to both entries for the effort. As we didn't have a larger interest, I don't think the devs would use either one for the homepage...but they might..I don't know them personally or anything, lol

Perhaps they will at least add it to the media page with screenshots etc...

If people really want video of PVP, and big village life...well film your next raid! Spawn some Alts and kill em off for the sake of the video...sacrifice some hearthlings to bears just for the footage...

On the other hand, we can continue to post video until something spectacular comes out...maybe some collaboration between some community members would yield some great results...

When I get to a higher level of play, I will get some new software and record some better stuff, just for the purpose of getting a new one on the front page
