Scripts abusing in w7

Which one of you "i'd rather be having fun with the game than be competitive" lot is playing proper then? Foraging without hiding objects? What about forage highlights and animal highlights? What about night-vision? Fuel bug and leather bug? Or maybe you afk your characters to set up personal beliefs? Maybe you don't use twitching bug when you hunt? Sign posts when you're taming? I'm just getting bored with this, but the list can go on and on, and most of the stuff here is something everybody use on a constant basis, just as they did for years, of nobody particularly giving a fuck.

Like I said, every single person playing Haven and Hearth either cheats, abuses bugs, exploits game mechanics, bots or does something that alters how the game was designed to be played to give them some sort of advantage.

Most people just wont admit it.

The rules of the game is a vital part of the game, so if you allow botting then the game was designed to allow botting. Perhaps it could have designed in a better manner to support botting, but it nonetheless supports botting.

nah. botting is clearly a game part now so it's us fools who don't use it just look to wiz tower it's bot bot bot topics all over. fought to many anti-bot wars in other mmo's to understand if the game supports bots and hnh seems to do so.

some history notes: bots was even before i started play hnh. For example el_Diablo made AutoIt bot in the beginning of W3 to grind lp by digging soil with hunger tracking etc.
Even if you somehow remove custom clients there still will be bots. There will not be so good of course but anyway...

Curio system tried to fix bots but in fact it is a reson why bots become more complex. Instead of one char we now have 3 (or even more) and we need curio for them because curio system let us have 100 chars at the same time. We had TIME == LP system in W3 now we have (TIME == LP) * X. Offline LP gain is shit.

Without offline lp gain , there would be more bot;s that's for sure. Now even noobs can sort of get nice stats if they craft/forage curios. without curio system only those who bot or play hardcore would have nice stats. which one is better? i don't know . But the game would become really hard and slow for non bot users or hardcore players. with any lp gain system , curio or traditional there will be bots. maybe we get rid of Lp system and make everything real life skill based where your actual skill matter more than your stats.

And you won't be mad if they fuck up the flotsam / bluebell market + gain way too much and insta-kill you?

iirc the bots were here last world and the curio market stayed the same? And its not like dis are the only people using them last world and this world

Another way to deal with it is through social condemnation of it. Sure the offender may be stronger, etc, but would still be seen as 2nd class citizen.

That's how the guard of "old money" dealt with people with "new money". It worked very well. You can be very rich, but if you have 0 class, you are still worth less in their eyes.

Making botting "illegal", would be the start for a similar condemnation movement as well as making a certain group of people, that only bots because it allowed, stop botting.

It's really funny to see sudden anal pain over foraging bots just now. As far as I know, Dis was using bots (and foraging bots ofc) the whole w6 and it didn't really ruined anything if you ask me. I'd recommend all whiners to go make yourself a couple of bots and start grinding curios if you are so sure that huge amounts of curio in your cupboards will change something majorly.

To prevent shitstorm (hurr durr u r dirty botusing dis scum) I should say that I never used foraging bots, well, I never used the bots for grinding anything to be correct, one foraging trip every day gives me enough curio to feed main character and a few alts, and I even have some leftovers.
So, probably the problem is not in the bots but in your attempts to make others as lazy and stupid as you. At least, bot makers are smart enough to make bots while forum whiners just wants everyone to be as bad as them.

I hope no one will get a major buttpain from that post, I wasnt going to insult anyone, just trying to show you my point of view.
