Right. Every repeating action that have cycle can be automated.
So to make this impossible make it non cyclable. Curent system is cyclable.
I prefer to see how to solve problem at all once, other than looking all the time something else, new, with new problems in it.

In W4 best macro was putting stickpiles at house and lighting them up :) So that Adventure-Dig joke is from not knowing.
2 stone houses with 40 in each and you had 700-800k LP per day, deep in the mine, where nobody there, with only stamina spent for moving from pile to pile :) 12 min to fire one house was enough to fires restart to previous state and can be burned again :)
PS - fires was set in house by HF setting lot of times :)

Leave character at place where rare curious spawn. Bot enters, collects, exit... after 12 min entering again, if nobody at location, it reloads, and all stuff appears again. Anyway if you have 10 chars at account you can gather a lot of rare curious in few days. Just enter once a day by yourself to gather what he got...

It has to walk around to check the mountain, checking just one screen will get you maybe one edelweiss every week. And when it walks around chances are that it'll run into somebody, because mountains are busy places. And chances are that it'll be somebody with a bunny avatar who'll kill your 8k exp*per foraging bot for the lulz and the curios. Given the investment these alts take, I'd wager they'd end up being a net drain.

You can always wall off mountain with brick, you know. It shouldn't be a big problem for someone who feels himself comfortable with walling off entire SG.

actually, i've found the area around mountains to be it-- not the things themselves.

the best places are riversides where innocent fishermen are

...i find their trousers delightful. :D

So yeah, apparently we have a working program of the game in ASCII already but I wasn't informed.

How did this happen? But yeah, we're going to be making stuff happen soon.

In 3D. In C++. Quite possibly on Allegro.
