Erm ... (if your interpretation of what Loftar sad is correct.) ... There are more way's than one to ruin a player base. And there are also more then one player base. ... But than again there are also plenty of other fish in the pool.

village with pallisade, gate and no xroads--- wait at the edge of sight of the gates prepped to raid, to shoot the gate keeper or whoever opens the gate, raid moves from there, probly noobs, can kill with a sling or bow, failing that move in and ua

Village with pallisades and xroads--- unless i have a pallibasher handy, ignore, with palli basher, well thats easy

village with brick, gate and no xroads--- obvious isn't it.. mind you they might be vclaim hearthing with hf's outside.. doubt it though

village with brick, gate and xroads--- ignore, unless it's big enough that general players in the village wont notice the entire fence all the time, then wait for auspicious time, bubble a ram on the wall and break in

obviously, the xroads make life that much easier, and easier to protect your interests aswell, this is my take on a raiders analytic proccess, and i plan accordingly

I'd like to make such an announcement if I could; I have been feeling quite bad for leaving Haven so alone for the past year, for sure.

The problem is that we don't really know exactly how to proceed (that has been true to some extent during Haven's entire life, which is why we have so seldom spoken about any plans for the future to begin with, but it is especially true now), so we wouldn't know what to write in an announcement anyway.

For now, this post by Jorb describes the situation rather well.

here the msg with the link he gave me. I should not really be sharing but it might stop some QQ and make you understand why band aids and not full out fixes.

Screw the old system root for the new one.

No clue what the drama is about but I stand by the crossroad change under any and all circumstances. Crossroads being a few branches and some dreams is was and will always be retarded regardless of what detrimental effects it may admittedly have on the present gamestate where plenty of cheap crossroads are already established. The only thing I may admit is that we could have chosen a better time to mess with Haven at all, BUT!

Since all we hear are complaints about how broken the world and the game and the siege mechanics presently are, no one should mind the slightest if we decide to run some experiments to see what we can do about that. Long live the perpetual alpha, and go play something else if you don't like it.

While we're on the subject, I wonder what bringing back brick-bashing would change....

Or maybe, what if we removed teleport completely?

Or what if I randomly decided to go godfist something, just for sport and fun? :)
