Our Kickstarter begins this week, and depending on it's success, we may completely redo the graphics engine.

Been following this closely and posted it myself on a few other forums, nice to see some of you guys over here other than just Painhertz are into it (although I figured you would be).

(I'm Teleclast over there, Sarchi add me :< )

I really think using influence as currency is ridiculous. Maybe attach influence/influence gain to items somehow? Or am I just missing something here?

Gee.... Thanks. I thought for once I could play a different game without people gunning for me for absolutely no reason....

You can make your own currency as well I'm pretty sure, however how it would work as an actual item I'm not sure unless they use a similar system to coins in HnH but scripting would define your coine, which would of course end with minting problems sadly, using influence seems like a proper way, it means that you can basically trade what is the effective 'experience' for skills (there will be no stats).

This means that you can either find a way to force players to give you influence (thus increasing yourself), or probably kill them and get influence in some way, it's pretty cool, basically the one central currency works for everything.

First of I want to say that on this topic you say Topia is Inspired by H&H but on the video there is no credit to be found this is lame...
Also I was told to register for the beta and now I have to pay 10 bucks for it... no thanks.
It's not that I don't want this project to succeed its that this is project number 99999 trying the same idea with a kick starter dying out really soon never to be heard off again.

You don't have to pay for Beta.... Donating just guarantees you beta access.
