Sounds like someone has never gotten their production high enough to see how much the 4 space limit of each oven kills one's ability to make end product foods like pies and breads.
40 ovens, 4 spaces per oven, that's only 160 pies. If you have a large village where everyone is minmaxing, you can go through twice that every day.

Nah q85+ ovens is fine, with good sticks the pies come out good q. You can never have enough ovens, the one time i used them i had to make 2 runs to cook all my pies.
