Well that just means that someone would be making their -own- maps, rather than a fully public map.

That's what we said.

If you mean "mini-maps should be removed" - true.
Though a resolution of 800x600 would be unacceptable then.

Personally I'd say it'd be cool if you couldn't even get a minimap until you had cartography. Would keep its use even with custom clients.

But that's just me.

well, the minimap is like the chara that can look the orizons. We can-t look an orizons if we look from the up, but chara should see more than we see, so, a minimap for us.

Shouldnt you make a new thread so no one gets confused when it's world 5 and the topic is about world 4.

"Yes, check last world out, it was marvelous. Say what now? Oh no no, this is the world 4 map. Our current world looks nothing like this."

But so long as 3rd party clients exist and they are freely sending minimap data to the client its rather inevitable.

I haven't seen anything but encouragement about 3rd party tools and clients from Jorb (and guess by extension Loftar). Therefore, why should anyone think it's not in the spirit of the game?

I'm just waiting a bit longer to release the map. I need to get it filled enough so I can properly center it, that way coords will never change. Just have to wait untill then...
