I think he means that he doesn't care about trespassers but if someone steals his stuff they will die before the scents expire.

Yeah, well I died again. Was trying to stay close to bear for matt to lure it away. Lost basically everything. I'm rage quitting and I'm probably done playing for a while. I'm too pissed off to even try to start over again.
